Honey Challah Bites

These sweet Honey Challah Bites are so fun for holidays! And these are gluten and dairy free!  Companies now make a few flours that are a cup for cup replacement using gluten flour.

Bob’s Red Mill is one company that has made a gluten free flour mix that you can use in place of regular flour.  Their flour 1:1 can be used with confidence and is:

  • Gluten Free; Vegan/Vegetarian; Kosher Pareve

  • Manufactured in a dedicated gluten free facility; R5-ELISA tested gluten free

  • Direct replacement for wheat flour in your favorite baking recipes

  • No corn, soy, or oat ingredients

Baking with gluten free flours is very different that using wheat or whole wheat flours.  I love these Honey Challah Bites. Making Challah the traditional way by braiding the loaf is very hard to braid made with gluten flour.

What is Challah you say?  Also known as hallah, also known as berches in Central Europe, is a special bread in Jewish cuisine. It is usually braided and typically eaten on special Jewish holidays.   I love the flavor of Challah bread.  And the recipe for these cute little Bites are just like specialty buns.

This recipe is a nice way to get the flavor of Challah!
