Fall Fruit Crumble, Vegan and Gluten-Free

October 26, 2015 By Colleen 30 Comments

I'd love it if you'd share this post:

Do you love the Fall flavors like apple and cinnamon? Then you will love this Fall Fruit Crumble. Tart cranberries offset the sweetness of apples and pears in this fruity treat.  The complimentary fruits give off such a wonderful smell.  This is more than just your ordinary cobbler with adding the pears and cranberries.   It is a great way to present baked fall fruit for your company dessert.  Plus you won’t believe this is gluten free and vegan!  The crumb topping is nutty and lightly sweetened – the perfect topping for a fresh fruit dessert!

Fall Fruit Crumble

We have been picking our apple trees.   We have some apples stored in the refrigerator and freezer for winter pies and cobblers. What do you like to make with the abundance of apples in the fall?  I’d love to get your ideas for some yummy ways to use up apples.

I’d love to make this for the kids, but for my youngest I’d have to exclude the almonds and cinnamon. He has so many food allergies, but vegan recipes are often great as they don’t contain egg and I can always substitute other things for his other allergens in them.

My grandson too has so many food allergies. This would still be great without nuts and cinnamon.

I love that the recipe would work for so many different fruits. I would add some walnuts into the topping for a little more crunch and nuttiness.

Since having pears in with baked cobblers…I love mixing up fruit. And walnuts would be a fantastic choice to use in place of almonds.

This sounds amazing! Love the different fruits. I know it is not traditional, but I always topped mine with nuts
( pecans or sliced almonds ) I just love the texture.

I think finely ground up walnuts as an addition to the crumb mixture would be yummy. I don’t like nut chunks but many like you like the texture of larger pieces. Thanks for the idea.
