Fall is such a busy time of year. Pumpkin Pie is one thing I love! If you grow your own pumpkins, they are great for making pies. Check out how I do it here!

I have a greenhouse so I grow pumpkins in there. I live on the coast of Alaska and it is too cool for many crops that should be able to be grown outside. In the fall I am busy harvesting and freezing last of my greenhouse crops. I also am juicing my Rhubarb and getting it ready to freeze. It makes a delicious punch if you mix it with orange juice and ginger ale or 7 up.

I’m in Tennessee right now visiting my son and his family. It’s been a lovely couple weeks. I head home tomorrow! Hope the flights are not too choppy with this crazy weather we are having across the US. We will be getting things secured around the house, since we head to the Florida Keys at the end of October.

Fall brings crisp cool mornings and snow soon. The air is so pure you can see for such a long distance here! We live across the Kachemak Bay. So our view is snow covered mountains and glaciers…and of course the ocean bay.
