Well since our theme is Old School…I have to share where my father was raised in Cleveland, North Dakota. Years ago, when I was doing genealogy research, My niece and I went back to North Dakota to see where the family originally lived and see the old homestead.

We went by the Old School house my father went to school in. Man, the buildings are still standing and not in that bad of shape. Things were made sturdier back then.

My father lived close to the railroad tracks and had many hoboes get off and walk to my great grandmothers home for meals. They lived way too close to the tracks for my liking! But, she’d make those hoboes meals.

The school house was close by the railroad tracks too. It was an emotional trip seeing and hearing all the stories of years gone by. But I did love the look of that old old school house!
