Here is the perfect solution for St. Patrick’s Day or other holidays!  Serve a clean delicious green – Raspberry Banana Kale Smoothie!   See how easy it is to eat clean and plant based?  Yes this drink will be green!  This recipe is dairy free, vegan and gluten free.  All ingredients used are organic if possible.

Raspberry Banana Kale Smoothie

Here’s a little kale trivia for you – it’s not called a super food for nothing!   Kale is an excellent source of vitamin K, vitamin C, vitamin A, manganese, and copper; a very good source of vitamin B6, fiber, calcium, potassium, vitamin E, and vitamin B2; and a good source of iron, magnesium vitamin B1, omega-3 fats, phosphorus,protein, folate, and vitamin B3.  And it has 0 grams of fat!   Mix it up with your smoothies, your body will thank your for it.

Raspberry Banana Kale Smoothie

Ingredients

  • 1 Cup Kale Shredded
  • 1 Banana
  • 12 Raspberries
  • ½ Cup Sparkling Water
  • ½ Cup Almond Milk or milk of your choice
  • 12 Ice Cubes
  • 1 Tablespoon Honey optional

Instructions

  • Add kale, banana, raspberries, and sparkling water, almond milk, ice cubes, and honey to blender.
  • Blend leaving it a bit chunkier as in the photo or very smooth with no grit.
  • Pour into glass.
  • Top with raspberries.
