No Bake Chocolate-Oat Bars, DF & GF

April 11, 2017 By Colleen 19 Comments

I'd love it if you'd share this post:

My daughter in law gave me this recipe for No Bake Chocolate-Oat Bars and said it was my son’s new favorite dessert bar.  I made it when they were down visiting and oh my gosh they are ooey gooey good!  It was gone the next day! My son heats his so that the chocolate is more melted when he eats his.   I must agree I prefer them melted just a few seconds myself.   You have to refrigerate them to have them set up.  But that extra microwave of 20 seconds puts them over the top!

No Bake Chocolate-Oat Bars

This is a one bowl recipe to mix everything in.  I used Bob’s Red Mill Organic Gluten Free Oats and their Shredded Unsweetened Coconut.  This recipe also uses pecans which really gives it a rich tasty crunch.   If you swap out the honey and use maple syrup instead, this will be vegan!

If you are into chocolate as much as I am, here is a wonderful recipe for a Chocolate Molten Mug Cake!

Check out this Dairy Free, Gluten Free, Egg Free recipe below this mixing photo for our No Bake Chocolate-Oat Bars.

I avoid using the oven as much as possible during the warmer months so this is an ideal recipe for my kids and I to make together.
