New Vegan, Vegetarian Low-Carb and Gluten-Free Cookbook Recommendations
Oh Oh…UPS has just delivered a box! Â I hope it’s what I’ve been waiting forever for! Â Yup, I just opened the box and it has cookbooks!! Â I am sooo excited.
I took classes from Chef and Author Mark Reinfeld for Vegan Fusion Intensive classes. Â During those classes he was planning on putting out a book called Taste of Europe and it is now available for purchase!
This is book number ONE I have been waiting for. Â I can hardly wait to try some of these recipes. Â All of Chapter 6 is devoted to Germany and Chapter 7 Â with recipes such as Polish Kielbasa Soup, Transylvanian Roasted Eggplant-Stuffed Tomatoes, Kasha Varnisihkes, and Blueberry Blintzes are making my mouth water! Â There is so much in this one book it will keep me busy all winter. Â Almost all of these are gluten-free as well. Â And gazing through his book I find a recipe for Vegan Flan! Â Oh My! Â I had asked him to make a vegan Kuchen, I will have to spend time tonight looking through all the recipes and probably dog earring almost all of them! Â Can you tell I’m soooo excited to start using this cookbook?
Vegetarian Low Carb diet by Rose Elliot is a very informative book about how to eat low carb with a few recipes. Â I thought after I read this I would check out her cookbook that goes with this Low Carb eating.
NOTE: Â I have finished reading 1/2 of the book and I absolutely love it! Â I would consider this a VEGAN low Carb book…although she does say vegetarian because she uses alot of eggs and cream in recipes. Â BUT she also gives substitute recipes using tofu or soy milk in many of the recipes. Â I am definately going to buy her Cookbook that goes with this book! Â Â I will be making these recipes during my THRIVE High Protein, Low Carb VEGAN meal plans. Â I am so thankful I found this book! Â What I also LOVE is that with her recipes she gives the carb count and the protein count. Â So far I haven’t seen that in low carb recipes. Â AND the recipes she has listed in this book are simple yet sound very tasty! Â This will be a HUGE help for me.
Have you read or used any of these books above? Â If so I’d love for your critique on them in the comments.

I’ve been a vegetarian since the early 1990’s
Many years of good health hopefully for you.
I have not read these but I love Robin Robertson’s cookbooks, thank you for the review.
I love to see the vegan lifestyle promoted for any reason. Nothing but good will come from it.
I am a cookbook collector and could sit and look through them all day! Thank you so much for your tips and recommendations on different cookbooks. I will be trying some of these, especially Fresh from the Vegan Slow-Cooker by Robin Robertson. This looks great!!!
You absolutely just sold me on Taste of Europe!! I am very interested in trying to transform my eating habits to at least a vegetarian (slowly heading into vegan), & gluten free diet in hopes that it will help me feel better physically & help me shed the 40lbs I need to lose! Off to Amazon, I go!!
