March Madness is usually associated with basketball! But having lived in Montana for 20 years and Alaska for 15 years so far, March to me is all about cabin fever and needing to get out of the snow and cold! My March Madness is….I need sunshine and heat! An Alaskan March brings cheers because we have gone through the dead of winter and are now gaining minutes of daylight daily!
But March also has some other fun events. St. Patrick’s Day brings up images of all sorts of beer parties. March also ushers in the 1st day of Spring and Spring Breaks from school which are themselves a bit of madness. March also begins daylight savings time which can make us all crazy. I get the gardening itch and also want to get outside and do “normal” things minus the snow! In fact my husband plowed a path through the snow so I can at least “visit” my greenhouse and dream of spring! What does March Madness mean to you?

I love the cool rainy weather and greening scenery in March, but it’s also the start of tornado season so I have a love/hate relationship with this month unfortunately

The best thing I love about March is that it is not too hot yet. I live in Louisiana, and it pretty much stays hot and humid here all year long. However, March is one of the best months of the year as far as weather is concerned. It is not too hot, and it’s not too muggy. It’s perfect! I also love Easter, St.Patrick’s Day, and the fact that there are no other holidays until about the Fourth of July after March. But you know what they say, Beware the Ides of March. So I always try to stay on top of things and do my best to enjoy the nice weather while I can. I ride my bike more in March, and I tend to be outdoors more, too. That is a rare thing here in LA. The only BAD thing about March is Daylight Saving’s Time. Spring forward, fall back. Just when I feel like I’ve adjusted to the other DST, boom, I’m hit with the worst one where we lose an hour of sleep. But since there’s not as much humidity, that means good hair days, and that’s just fine with me! Thank you for this chance to win! Hope you have a great month!
