Flourless Black Bean Brownies Recipe

You might be nervous about baking with black beans, but don’t be, they have a very mild flavor and are extremely rich, creamy, and full of protein.  I can’t even tell that beans are used when an ingredient for brownies. You can also boost the flavor of your brownie with essential oils such as Peppermint or Wild Orange.  Photos here take you through making the brownies and the recipe is at the end of the photos.  Enjoy!

I love black beans but I am not sure how I would like them in brownies! I am vegan and use either applesauce or Ener-G Egg Replacer when I bake, so I don’t know how well this recipe would hold up without the eggs. I like the idea of using different oils as well – I hate peppermint.

You would never know there are beans in them. Truly! No bean flavors at all just moistness 🙂

Thanks for sharing your recipe for Flourless Black Bean Brownie! I have never used black beans for anything. I would have thought that they tasted sort of tart being black and all. This sure is a different type of Brownie Mix! They look wonderful and very moist! I’m going to have to give this a try and see how they taste! Hey, I try things once and if I like them, I do it again. If not, at least I tried! I saved the recipe and I have to wait until I get all the ingredients first! Thanks so much for sharing your recipe Flourless Black Bean Brownie Recipe with all of us! I do appreciate it! Thanks again! Michele 🙂
