Popcorn is great all by itself but this recipe for Birthday Cake Popcorn takes it to a whole new level!  Whether you are making this for a young popcorn lover or the popcorn lover in you, I’m sure you will find the taste and texture of this recipe absolutely yummy!

Birthday Cake Popcorn

Birthday Cake Popcorn

This Birthday Cake is gluten free and dairy free!  It uses coconut oil, marshmallows and gluten free cake mix of your choice!  Add a few sprinkles of your choosing ( red white and blue would be perfect for the 4th of July or any patriotic event ) and you have a great snack for any occasion not just birthdays.

Birthday Cake Popcorn

Ingredients

  • 6 cups popped popcorn
  • 3 cups marshmallows
  • 2 tbs coconut oil
  • 1 cup gluten free cake mix
  • Funfetti sprinkles

Instructions

  • Spread popcorn out on a sheet removing any seeds.
  • In a small sauce pan pour coconut oil and add in marshmallows.
  • Stir until marshmallows are melted.
  • Remove from heat, stir in vanilla and cake mix. stir until there is no clumps.
  • Pour over your popcorn and stir to coat all the popcorn.
  • Add on funfetti sprinkles.
  • Serve and enjoy.
