We are heading home to Alaska! We are leaving early this year because I’m having increasing L hip pain with many tears in my L hip labrum. I am scheduled for a Total L hip replacement in March. They don’t know what causes labrum tears….. But I want to be home in case my hip pops out or worse yet cracks and I need urgent surgery. We are not very impressed with the health care here in Florida!
It is going to be high of 20’s and lows of teens when I get home. But that’s ok, I’m looking forward sitting in my rocker recliner, having a wood stove burning and watching TV until I have my surgery. I have lots of pre surgical appointments.
Anyone have advice if you’ve had a hip replacement? I’d love some encouragement. I know I have to use a walker for a few weeks post op. Ugh. I plan to get tomato & cucumber seeds planted and growing in the house. Probably get plants into greenhouse after surgery sometime. And asparagus planted in the greenhouse after my surgery since they don’t deliver in March yet to Alaska!

Well on our way from Florida to Alaska and our flight got cancelled yesterday. Flying isn’t fun like it use to be. We won’t be home til mid week!

Praising Jesus we almost got thrown out of our hotel!! And it was saved for tonight….Florida is a rough place. Already had our Flight yesterday cancelled and nothing else from Ft Lauderdale to West Coast….
