Halibut Patties Recipe Gluten Free

My daughter in law served these patties and oh are they delicious.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound halibut fillets poached and flaked (2 cups)
  • ½ cup gluten free bread crumbs
  • 1 Tbsp essence seasoning See Recipe below
  • ¼ cup chopped green onions green parts only
  • 2 tsp parsley
  • ¼ cup Vegenaise or Mayo
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp cayenne pepper
  • 1 tsp dill
  • 1 beaten egg

ESSENCE SEASONING FOR THE HALIBUT PATTIES

  • 2 ½ Tbsp paprika
  • 2 Tbsp salt
  • 2 Tbsp garlic powder
  • 1 Tbsp pepper
  • 1 Tbsp onion powder
  • 1 Tbsp cayenne pepper
  • 1 Tbsp oregano
  • 1 Tbsp thyme
  • Combine all and store in an airtight container

Instructions

  • Combine all ingredients, shape into 4 patties and place on a plate. Refrigerate 20 minutes. Fry patties in a skillet in olive oil until golden, 3-5 minutes per side. Serve with your favorite sauce for dipping patties or make a fabulous sandwich with your choice of gluten-free bread and accompaniments.
