Simple Instant Pot Quinoa

You can use this simple instant pot quinoa in salads, casseroles, breakfast cereals and so much more!

Ingredients

  • 2 cups quinoa
  • 2 cups quality stock or broth
  • 
fresh thyme or herb of choice
  • salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Rinse and thoroughly drain the quinoa to remove the natural coating on it (this help remove the bitter and mildly soapy taste).
  • Stir all of the ingredients in the instant pot together and then twist to lock the lid shut. The real Instant Pot will sing to you when you close it so you know it it closed properly!
  • Set the pot to Manual for 1 minute. 
When the one minute of cook time is up and it beeps, allow the pot to NPR (natural pressure release) for 10 minutes.
  • Then carefully release any remaining pressure with the valve on the lid, being sure to keep your entire body away from where the steam will come out.
  • Fluff the cooked quinoa with a fork and serve or use in recipes.
