Can CBD Oil be used for Pain Management?

Can CBD Oil be used for Pain Management?

Can CBD Oil be used for Pain Management?

You have probably heard that we are in the midst of an opioid epidemic with prescription shortages.  Many people are concerned about managing their aches and pains. Some do not want to take medications because they are worried about the cost and possible addiction. Others have not been able to find medications that decrease their pain. So Can CBD Oil be used for Pain Management in place of opioids and other prescription drugs?  YES!  And CBD comes in cream form also!

CBD Oil and Pain

A study from The Journal of Experimental Medicine found that cannabidiol (CBD) can help suppress pain by affecting receptors in the body. This may be especially useful for chronic pain and illness, which is more difficult to manage with traditional medications. In addition, initial studies do not show a tolerance pattern for cannabidiol – Hemp CBD Oil.

Another study found that multiple sclerosis patients benefit from using a CBD and THC spray because it helped decrease neuropathic pain. Researchers are encouraging others to explore the potential uses and benefits of CBD oil for patients struggling with pain.

Patient Stories

Many patients consider CBD oil a more natural pain relief option. Cannabidiol has been used for a variety of medical conditions including cancer, multiple sclerosis, epilepsy and others. In general, patients report feeling less pain and having more energy. CBD oil can also increase muscle relaxation and promote better sleep and is NOT a hallucinogenic or addicting!  I used CBD after I was having such pain from my major abdominal surgery for GIST tumor and for my Breast Cancer surgery.

A research study from Temple University found that cannabidiol can help prevent pain caused by chemotherapy. Patients share that they use CBD oil while fighting cancer and have less nausea and pain.  I have been using it daily and have great relief from nausea and pain.  In addition, Hemp cannabidiol seems to have an impact on tumor activity that benefits patients. There are multiple clinical trials that are focusing on using CBD oil for cancer.

Although pain relief will vary based on dosage and current medical problems such as injury, many patients claim to feel better within 30 minutes of taking CBD oil.  I can say that is a positive YES for me within 20 minutes! Since cannabidiol lacks the compounds that can make you high, it is considered safe to use.

I have tried many different varieties and can safely say that what I uses tastes good, is effective and has no side effects and no effects from THC.   It IS legal in all 50 states.  You can also get CBD in cream form for joint aches. You can leave questions for me in the comments below.
